Child care program expands with new funding
Services apply to kids from infant to age 12 based on eligibility

(Riverside, CA) Listen up. Are you a parent who needs child care but can’t afford it? There are now more slots available for childcare services in the Riverside County DPSS California Alternative Payment Program (CAPP). It’s a result of funding from the California Department of Education and will benefit eligible families who need child care for kids from birth to age 12.

Parents, caretaker-relatives or foster parents may be eligible to receive assistance in paying for some or all of their child care expenses if their income is below the levels in the chart below and they have a need for child care based on:

  • Employment
  • Seeking employment
  • Participation in an educational or vocational program
