Introduction

Welcome to the County of Riverside Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) Children’s Services Division (CSD). We are a public Child Protective Service (CPS) agency mandated to investigate allegations of child abuse and neglect.

Children's Services Mission:

Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), Children's Services Division protects children and youth from abuse and neglect, and partners with families, young adults, and communities to build safety, permanency, and well-being.

 

We operate a 24-hour child abuse hotline to receive reports of abuse and neglect of children (under the age of 18 years old). The 24-hour child abuse hotline number is: 1-800-442-4918. Please DO NOT send E-mail to report Child Abuse and Neglect.

If you think a child related to you has been detained by the Children's Services Division, please contact us at 1-800-442-4918. Your information will be taken and passed on to a worker. As allowable by law, you might be sent a letter with further information.
